UPDATED: CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE cover revealed!

We have waited (maybe not so) patiently for the long awaited conclusion to The Mortal Instruments series. With just a few short months to go (May 27th is the US release date), Shadowhunters have been dying to know if there is anything that cover of the book will reveal, most importantly of which ... who will survive?

Here it is Shadowhunters and Downworlders!

AND EVEN A BETTER VERSION VIA @SIMONTEEN

Thanks to the internet for the pic! We aren't sure of the source, so if this was your grab let us know! We've seen Clary and COHF trend, and we are freaking amazed by this cover. Take a close look.

First, and foremost, since this is grab, sorry for the quality. Clary has her back towards us, the reader. Does this mean a betrayal? Does this means she's turning her back on everyone to do what she thinks she must? Who's the mystery man? Cassie says it's SEBASTIAN!!!

Cassie has been tweeting and here's what we are learning:

Cassandra Clare announced on Twitter that the sixth and finale book in 'The Mortal Instruments' series would be getting its cover revealed in an "interesting way".  But earlier she took to Twitter to divulge to fans that the cover will be shown live on TV!

Clare's Tumblr post read, "So remember I said the cover of City of Heavenly Fire was going to be revealed in an interesting way? I’ve finally been given the okay to say that it’s going to be revealed on television —  January 14th on The Insider (http://theinsider.etonline.com/tv/7pm EST on CBS!
For all y’all who don’t live in the US or whose DVRs are full of back episodes of The Walking Dead or whatever, the cover will be up online shortly after. :)".

It's no secret that we're all really curious to see what gorgeous new cover we'll soon be adding to our shelves and now the date's set for fans to get the first look! There is no shortage of excitement when it comes to Cassandra Clare and a new book, and we've already got the date & time marked and committed to our memories.

How many Shadowhunters will be watching The Insider on CBS to see the unveil of City of Heavenly Fire? Which characters do you hope to see on the last cover? Tweet us @TMI_Institute or comment below. We'd love to hear your thoughts!

'Clockwork Princess' cover revealed

After receiving over 30,000 tweets with the hashtag #ClockworkPrincess, Cassandra Clare revealed the brand new cover for the upcoming finale of the Infernal Devices. Here it is!

Here's the details that Cassie shared about the cover via Tumblr:
  • Tessa is holding the Shadowhunter Codex
  • The setting in Clockwork Princess remains the United Kingdom, with mentions of some more faraway places.
  • She can’t reveal models’ names, as usual, but her dress isn’t available for purchase; it was borrowed for the shoot from a costume collection. Cassie said: "It’s beautiful, no? Clearly an evening dress. Victorian evening dresses were shockingly low cut. Footmen sometimes had to help ladies out with wardrobe malfunctions."
  • More on the design and the pendant (or lack thereof): "Tessa on the cover here isn’t supposed to represent specifically Clockwork Princess Tessa, but Tessa throughout the series, so I never thought of specifying she be wearing/carrying the things she has solely in Clockwork Princess. Tessa’s dress design, what she’s wearing, all were done by the artist without input from me. And he hadn’t read Clockwork Princess, because it hadn’t been written. He was going off the other two books. No engagement ring (well, there isn’t one in the book anyway, the pendant stands in for it) and no pendant doesn’t mean anything, one way or another"
  • Tessa is standing in front of Blackfriars Bridge and St. Paul’s cathedral.
  • About the ring: "I just checked back in Clockwork Prince and yep, she never gets an engagement ring except in the scene where they go to York, but she gives it back. Just to say!"
Cassie said that this is her favorite cover so far. Do you agree? Sound off below!
