Lily Collins Interview: Discusses how the end of TMI Movie will leave us "wondering"!

During the interview, Lily Collins talks about two movies she stars in and both of which will be released this summer, "Stuck in Love" and "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones". Lily discusses the intense training and work she put into for the preparation of becoming Clary Fray. She also mentions the end of the TMI movie which will leave us with "an important question" and we all know what that question is! Are Clary and Jace really brother and sister? We will be able to see this epic scene on August 21 when TMI comes out in theaters.

TMI Movie Premiere in London!

The Mortal Instruments author, Cassandra Clare took over twitter this afternoon to unite her shadowhunters all over the world to support the campaign for the City of Bones movie premiere in London! MSN Movie UK releases TMI movie poster

MSN Movie's UK site released their promo poster for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie hitting theatres this summer.

The poster features Clary Fray, the Mundane with a very important family history, played by Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace Wayland, everyone's favourite Shadowhunter.

New Photo from THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES

MortalMovie posted a new photo of what looks like Clary Fray (Lily Collins) using a stele and her and Jace Wayland (Jamie Campbell Bower) are looking through.

I wonder what they are looking at. Could they be waiting at a door and that circular image is them being looked at through a peep hole? Or is it from that scene where we see the stele being used. One thing is for certain, they look really intense!

We will have to wait until the August 23rd premiere of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones to find out! Share your thoughts below on how this still fits into the movie.

Kevin Zegers discusses being his own stunt double in the City of Bones movie

While at WonderCon actor Kevin Zegers (Alec Lightwood) chatted with Hollywood Crush about performing his own stunts in the City of Bones movie. Kevin told HC that he, "...showed up about four weeks before we started, and it went through filming, so then on lunch break we would go and rehearse the fight sequences." He also said that, "Harald Zwart [director] wanted us to do our own stuff, which I think when you watch the movie you can tell. It's sort of great, and you can see that it's us, and it's violence and just as, like, a guy, I saw the new trailer and it looks awesome. It looks like a big action movie, also obviously, the love story and everything are going on and the fantasy stuff. The action stuff looks awesome."

He finished with saying the training and stunt work was "brutal" and "I'm like the old one of the group. The young twenties kids were very spry and bounced back. When we finished I was very tired."

Sony releases promotional Jace image

The kind people at Sony have given fans a peek at Jace in all of his Jace glory; stern face, arms crossed, golden eyes. They recently released this promotional Jace image which is now being used as part of the @mortalmovie Twitter background.

An early look at Hot Topic's City of Bones inspired clothing line

Better in Black has shared with us (on their Facebook page) some early sketches of clothing inspired by The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones that will be available at Hot Topic sometime in the near future.

From the look of the sketches it seems there will be a few shadowhunter inspired tank tops, dresses and pants for the ladies and Jace's hooded vest and jacket for the guys.

Official TMI:CoB merchandise should be available soon in the coming months leading up to the movie release of August 23. Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.

Three CoB movie tie-ins to be released July 9

Shadowhunters do not fret! Simon & Schuster has plenty of great TMI garb to tie us over until The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones hits theatres in late August. Three new titles will be released, all on July 9; The Official Illustrated Companion, Shadowhunter's Guide and City of Bones Movie Tie-in Edition (thanks S&S!)

Entertainment Weekly got an exclusive first look at all three books. Shadowhunter's Guide is an introduction to the shadowhunting world and also features character bios, and an explanation of Downworlders, runes, weapons and of course the Nephilim themselves.

City of Bones Movie Tie-in Edition is a paperback version of the first novel in the series with the movie poster cover. 

Lastly, The Official Illustrated Companion is a photographic behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie, filled with interviews of the cast and crew and Cassie Clare.  

Set Photo from TMI Movie Re-shoots

Thanks to TMI PH a photo was taken from Friday during The Mortal Instruments re-shoot in Toronto. Based on the photo it looks like Jamie Campbell Bower, Lily Collins, & Robert Sheehan's stunt double are re-shooting the "you killed two cops" scene from the trailer. According to TMI PH, they filmed this scene very quickly and were packed up by Friday evening.

Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower were both spotted at the Toronto Pearson Airport on Saturday afternoon (April 13). Lily and Jamie took different flights. They were in Toronto to film re-shoots for The Mortal Instruments movie (April 11 & 12).

TMI movie still in Entertainment Weekly

Izzy (Jemima West), Simon (Robert Sheehan) and Clary (Lily Collins) have snagged a spot in EW's Summer Preview issue.

In the article Lily speaks about being a fan of the book series before being cast as Clary Fray and thus the importance of doing Clary justice in portraying her because she felt so close to Clary having read City of Bones. She said, “I really hope I did Clary justice, because I’m a fan too. I have high expectations of my literary heroines.”

Jamie Campbell Bower also discussed his role as Jace as well as negative reactions to his portraying the snarky beloved shadowhunter, he said,“I had to sit back and assess why I was doing this role and it’s because I love it.”

Cassandra Clare sounded off on fan reactions to Jamie as Jace saying, “I know intellectually when there’s a really strong reaction about someone being cast, it’s great, because it means people care. I’ve seen Jamie play Jace and he’s perfect.”

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, hits theatres August 23.

Kevin Zegers talks marriage proposal, The Colony and TMI with ET Canada

While in Toronto Kevin Zegers made several stops at local radio and television stations to promote his movie The Colony. During some of these interviews Kevin divulged that he and longtime girlfriend Jaime Feld are actually engaged and have been for about a year and plan to wed in a few months on Aug 3 2013.

Kevin spoke with Rick Campanelli from ET Canada about his marriage proposal, working with Laurence Fishburne and fight scenes in both The Colony and The Mortal Instruments.

Lily Collins: The English Teacher trailer released, Shadowhunter style in NYC

Lily Collins has been busy with a handful of films under her belt releasing in 2013. She has not only studded herself as the next big thing but also as a style maven in the making.  She has become a photog favourite for her fashion choices and for her sweet romance with co-star from potential box office hit, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Jamie Campbell Bower.

Lily was spotted Wednesday, April 3rd at the airport in New York City on her way to begin promotion for City of Bones, dressed all in black like a true shadowhunter.

Recently, Lily starred alongside Greg Kinnear in the film Writers, or  Stuck in Love as it was renamed, and joins Kinnear again in the upcoming dramedy The English Teacher, also starring Julianne Moore and Michael Angarano. The story centres around a high school English teacher who's life flips upside down when a former student and failed playwright (Angarano) comes back to town. The film's trailer was recently released and is said to have a first screening at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Kevin Zegers announces engagement

Kevin Zegers was in Toronto today promoting his new movie, The Colony that opens in theatres later this month. Before the red carpet premiere at Scotiabank Theatre, Zegers stopped by City TV's Breakfast Television for a quick chat with host, Dina Pugliese and then headed to KISS FM and told Maurie Sherman of the Roz and Mocha Show that he and long time girlfriend, Jaime Feld are actually engaged!

The two have been keeping their engagement under wraps since last summer and are planning for an Aug 3rd wedding.

ICYMI: Cassie Clare and TMI cast grace WonderCon

Saturday, March 30, 2013 has finally arrived and you know what that means, The Mortal Instruments cast is at Wondercon. Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers and Cassandra Clare are there to complete some interviews and reveal the new extended TMI trailer.

The cast interviews are set to be released on Monday, April 1st, just as the new trailer.

Lily Collins talks new movie trailer

On March 30 a new City of Bones movie trailer and new poster will be revealed at WonderCon and on April 1, the trailer will be released online. Star of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Lily Collins (Clary Fray) told The Hollywood Reporter that fans can expect "heart pumping action,” “great music” and “high energy" from the new trailer.

When asked about the trailer Collins said, “It ends, and you have to watch it again because there’s so much packed into the trailer.” She continued to say,
“The first time I watched it, I asked to watch it three other times just ‘cause it’s so much that happens, it’s like a whirlwind.”
