Shadowhunter Tweets o' the Week June 23 - 29, 2013

As the The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie premiere date gets closer, Shadowhunter activity increases! This week shadowhunters, downworlders, and mundanes were treated with new movie footage, new movie stills, cast interviews, and the Wal-Mart tie in novel. The Mortal Instruments fandom also trended #GodfreytoSDCC world wide.

Exclusive Footage from 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' Shown at LeakyCon!

People who were at the LeakyCon event today were very lucky, they got to see exclusive footage from 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' movie!

Apparently the clip was five minutes long, according to tweets from LeakyCon attendees. The clip they showed featured Jace trying to heal Clary after being attacked by the Ravener. The clip also included Jace showing Clary around the Institute and met Hodge for the very first time.

MTV reveals another set visit interview with 'The Mortal Instruments' cast! In this interview MTV's correspondent, Joshua Horowitz asked questions about the costumes the actors had to wear and it's "all about the leather". 

Walmart tie in books on shelves

The Walmart exclusive tie in books are on shelves...but not for long! I've been hearing reports of many people not being able to find them. I know in my store this one lone copy was left, and it wasn't even in the right place! Keep your eyes peeled, for it is the smaller trade paper back size.  It was also 25% off, coming out to a very affordable $7.49!

Aidan Turner comes in high on BuzzFeed list!

BuzzFeed has a new list up, "57 actors you see in absolutely everything" (also titled "57 British actors every geek will recognize) and our favorite werewolf, Aidan Turner came in very high at number 3!

Cast Photo Shoot: Includes Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, & Robert Sheehan!

Look it's our Clary, Jace and Simon! Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Sheehan looking glamorous in a new photo shoot. The trio will star in the highly anticipated movie, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones which will hit theaters August 21 and if you were wondering it's 55 days away.

Who will be at 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' panel for Comic Con? Maybe Godfrey Gao?

With less than two months away from the release of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie, promo for the movie will pick up in the next month. Specifically Friday, July 19, which is when the author of the series, Cassandra Clare and the cast will be in San Diego for Comic Con. There has been no official word of which actors will be there for the event but it appears Godfrey Gao could be one of them. Gao tweeted this today:

Cassandra Clare also hinted of the possibility of Gao being there at Comic Con with this short tweet:

Gao will be starring as the 'instrument of chaos', Magnus Bane. Fans cannot wait to seem him as the high warlock of Brooklyn and of course excited to see his vivacious outfits. But we will have to wait until August 21, nearly there shadowhunters!

Seven-Territory Promotional Tour for 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones'!

Jamie Campbell Bower was at the CineEurope event in Barcelona (June 27) to reveal the new German trailer and a short clip from the movie. 

A source from ScreenDaily.com says that 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' cast will go on a promotional tour in seven-territories prior to the filming of the second installment, 'City of Ashes' (which begins this fall).

“From Constantin, Garrett welcomed actor Jamie Campbell Bower on stage in Barcelona to introduce a trailer and scene from The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. The series of young adult books by Cassandra Clare have sold more than 22 million copies. Harald Zwart directs the film, which Sony Screen Gems launches in the US on Aug 21. Lily Collins stars alongside Campbell Bower, who noted that the cast would go on a seven-territory promotional tour for the first film before starting to shoot the second.”

Only 55 more days until The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones comes to theaters!

Jamie Campbell Bower listed hotter than Potter

BuzzFeed made a list of the hottest actors in the Harry Potter series. Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Jace in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in theaters August 21st, came in at number 8! He beat out Daniel Radcliffe, who was 21, and Rupert Grint, who came in at 14! BuzzFeed even called him "an angel."
