A Clockwork Angel movie? An update

In all of the excitement of TMI: City of Bones filming, it seems more information is coming out regarding the prequel series, The Infernal Devices.  As we all know, The Infernal Devices, like the Mortal Instruments, have been optioned for film by Unique Features.   Well, it appears that a movie adaptation of Clockwork Angel is "moving forward."  Which, as Cassie said even today, doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Also, from Cassie's Tumblr archives when answering fan questions back in July she said this:

meg13-bloodrose asked you:
Will infernal devices be made into a movie too?
It’s optioned for film by the same people who optioned The Mortal Instruments. Again, ideally, they’d love to make them into movies. Steampunk/historical movies are very expensive to make, so they’d need a big studio commitment, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t get one. They are, however, concentrating on making TMI right now, so I wouldn’t expect news about the ID film project for a while.

IMDb did this great article 7 months ago when it was announced that film rights were secured for TID about casting.

What are your thoughts about an Infernal Devices movie? Who is your dream cast?

  1. Now to enter my personal opinion on casting link from IMDb lol. (even though I've discussed my opinons on fancasting before)

I think Sarah Bolger IS the choice for Tessa.

I don't like Douglas Booth as Will. I know this is an unpopular opinon lol. My loyalties remain with Ed Westwick.

I don't know who this Nick Roux guy is, but he definitely doesn't look Asian to me. Jem needs to be at least 1/2 Asian people!

Carrie Mulligan does look like Charlotte to me.

I had never thought of Clémence Poésy as Camille but YES!

Why why WHY would Adam Lambert ever be remotely Magnus ever? #teamgodfrey (I do realize this was way before casting occurred)
