Music Monday #5: "Dead Walker Texas Ranger" by Sleeping With Sirens (@SWStheband)

I've had a lot of suggestions over the past five weeks for bands and singers for Music Monday, but by far the most requested band was Sleeping with Sirens. Even though there are so many songs in their discography that I could choose, I am most excited that they just came out with a Halloween song on October 21 that has lots of elements we need on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack.

The track is called "Dead Walker Texas Ranger". Take a listen:

This song screams demons, blood, and all things scary! It's so cool! Sleeping with Sirens is the kind of band that would fit any great urban fantasy book-to-movie adaptation. With their youthful fanbase and edge, it's no wonder that this band is one that everyone wants to hear on this soundtrack! Sleeping with Sirens, known as @SWStheband on Twitter, is an American post-hardcore band from Orlando, Florida currently residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The band was formed in 2009 by members of For All We Know, Broadway, and We Are Defiance. They are currently signed to Rise Records and have released two full-length albums and an acoustic EP, If You Were a Movie, This Would Be Your Soundtrack, which was released on June 26, 2012.

The group is known primarily for the versatility of vocalist Kellin Quinn's tenor leggiero vocal range. Their first album, With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear, was released on March 23, 2010. Debuted at number 7 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, and at number 36 on Top Independent Albums. Their second album, Let's Cheers to This, was released on May 10, 2011. The single from the album, "Do It Now Remember It Later", was released on April 7, 2011.
