'Clockwork Princess' to have a concrete ending

Cassandra Clare answered a question that has probably been stewing in all our minds: will CLOCKWORK PRINCESS have a concrete ending. Here's the Q&A:

“Hello Ms. Clare! I know you’ve heard this thousands of times, but I absolutely LOVE your books, especially the Infernal Devices Trilogy. I am so excited for Clockwork Princess and I’m counting the hours until March 19. I would just like to ask if Clockwork Princess will have a concrete ending? Or will it be one of those “the-ending-is-up-to-you” books where I have to imagine whatever the ending could possibly be. I have invested so much of my time, tears, and emotions to all of your characters especially Tessa, Jem, and Will and I’d just hate to think that it will be an open-ended story and that I’ll be left wondering for the rest of my life. Thank you so much! All the love from Canada! —willhelovemetoruins”

You mean like the end being Tessa coming into a room and going “Will, Jem, I’ve made a decision” and then it just … fades out?

Hehehehe! Oh the evil that would be.

But not evil that I have committed. The ending is quite concrete. The fact that the embargo has been broken means I have actually got quite a few emails from people who’ve read it (always happy to get them!) None seem to be wondering what happened!

Are you glad The Infernal Devices will be completed in a concrete way with all the loose ends tied nicely? Share your thoughts below!
