Supanova is an annual pop culture expo which is held in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and the Gold Coast (australia's major capitol cities). This event has bee held for over 10 years and is fun for all. There were many guests who attended this event including Merlin's Bradley James, Star Trek's Karl Urban and even the original Princess Leah Carrie Fisher.
A particular guest shadow hunters were interested in was our very own Aidan Turner (who plays Luke Garroway in the Mortal Instruments), who was there promoting his role as Kili in the Hobbit.
During this event, a group of shadow hunter cosplayers managed to find ourselves and take a few photos. At one point during the group photo we had ten people taking pictures of us. 'Us' included Maddie (twitter user @jemcarstears), Margie (twitter user @xmargie22x), Me (Twitter user @sizzyled), Lizzie (twitter user @claryeverlarks) and others who dressed up as Izzy and Clary.
During the event, the guests were signing autographs and taking professional pictures with patrons. During Aidan's autograph signing he was signing Hobbit merchandise until he had got to me. I got to the front of the line and handed my book over to Aidan, to which he responded with "This is my first City of Bones signing ever did you know?" he also said that he liked my runes and that i made a beautiful Izzy (I almost started to cry). He signed my book "first CoB signing!" and this message will only ever be on my book.
This weekend was amazing for us shadowhunters with our own 'step father' Luke Garroway signing and taking autographs. Bring on Supanova 2014 with hopes of another member of the TMI franchise to visit our Australian shores!
