CCH Pounder joins the cast of CBS pilot 'The Advocates'

CBS has a new show in the works and CCH Pounder (Madame Dorothea) has joined the cast. CCH will be playing the head of the Victims Advocate office.

Written/executive produced by The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller and directed/exec produced by David Nutter, Advocates centers on female lawyer Shannon Carter and male ex-con Henry Bird who team up as “victim advocates,” going to the very edge of the law to right wrongs and fight for the underdog. Pounder will play the dedicated head of the Victims Advocate office where Shannon works.

There is no set date to when the show will start filming or when it will air on television yet.  CCH's most recent work are as Madame Dorthea in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and Irene Frederic on Warehouse 13.
