TLH Series Title and Book Titles Revealed

Shadowhunters have been guessing for months now what the letters of Cassandra Clare's book series TLH stand for. The Bookseller spilled the beans today when they announced that Walker Books has acquired rights for the new trilogy, The Last Hours.

Clare took to her tumblr blog to share the news with her fans. She explained the title for the new trilogy, which is set in 1903, comes from the book Great Expectations. The titles of the three books - Chain of Thorns, Chain of Gold, and Chain of Iron, are also a reference to great expectations. The first book is set for release in 2017.

Although set in different time periods and locations, The Last Hours trilogy will be interconnected with The Dark Artifices trilogy.

Casting Call: 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes' background performers

The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes, Constantin film, by Screen Gems will be holding a background performer casting call on Wednesday August 14, 2013.

According to torontofilm.net: 

Casting is looking for "...5 different groups of otherworldly creatures..." : 

'VAMPIRES' 

Goth/punk/fetish types, they can have been in the bar scene in the first movie 18-35 yrs, any ethnicity. 

'WEREWOLVES' 

Lumberjack/biker types, big, rough, hairy, 18-45 yrs, any ethnicity. 

'WARLOCKS' 

Exotic looking/Asian/Persian/interesting looking MEN ONLY any ethnicity EXCEPT for Caucasian. The following actor Godfrey Gao plays 'Magnus Bane' the 'head' warlock. This should give you an idea of what they're looking for 18-45 yrs. 

'FAERIES' 

Pale, skinny, fragile with wide set eyes. Lily Cole is playing the 'Queen of the Faeries'. Men and Women 18-40 yrs, any ethnicity.

Cassandra Clare announces The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones LA mall tour stop

This morning Cassandra Clare announced in a tumblr post that there will be one last mall tour stop in LA! Read the details below.

Because the mall tour went so fantastically well Sony decided to add a last stop — in L.A.! (We’ll all be there anyway for the press junket and premiere, so it was really the only place it could be done!) It’ll be me, Jamie, Lily, Kevin, and Harald the director — the only stop he’ll be on — so I hope to see you there! Details below: 

Tuesday, August 13^th from 2pm-4pm – LOS ANGELESTMI event at The Americana at Brand – 889 Americana Way, Glendale CA 91210Talent: Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers, director Harald Zwart and best-selling author, Cassandra Clare 

Q&A will be open to the public. To take part in the exclusive autograph signing with the cast, director and author, wristbands can be picked up on a first come, first serve basis at The Green starting at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 13^th.

Lucky fan Sasha (@theshadowshunt) met Lily Collins at the Mall of America tour stop on Sunday. Fellow Shadowhunter @BeeJolene  videoed the event and shared the experience in this YouTube video. Republic Records revealed the cover of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones official soundtrack. It features Clary, Jace, Alec, Isabelle, and Simon. 

The soundtrack will be released August 20, 2013 and will include these tracks:
