Holiday Book Blitz: Exclusive 'Savor' excerpt from Kate Evangelista

We are opening a new section of the Institute that we feel Tessa and Will would love....The Mortal Library!

Here's our plan. We want to bring you book tours and reviews on our favorite books that we have shelved in our favorite little section of the Institute. From YA to Adult, we are sharing our passion of reading with you!

The first book we'll be delving into is the delicious new adult paranormal romance Savor by Kate Evangelista.

Hold on to your seats, ladies and gents, this is one saucy bit of lit that will keep you craving more! Like all adult books, discretion is advised because there are a few steamy scenes not suited for younger reading audiences. With that being said....

Savor Blurb:
Mature and explicit content. Not recommended for readers below 18-years-old. Yup, you’ve got to be that old to read my story. Consider yourself warned.

I’m Dakota Collins, a tough talking, eye patch wearing, workaholic photography student. Why am I important? Well, maybe because I get to spend an entire month with Vicious, only the sickest indie rock band out there.

You see, I needed a subject for my Spring Showcase introspective in order to graduate. During a chance encounter at a club I’d been sent to cover for the Daily Gossip, our ironically named college paper, the features writer I usually teamed up with introduced me to the band—by accident, I might add. It involved a run in with a scary, bald bodyguard. Anyway, long story short, I signed a contract to take pictures of Vicious.

I should have known their handsome yet way too serious for his own good bassist, Luka Visraya, wouldn’t be able to keep his hands to himself. He’s gorgeous and all, but the way he smiles spelled trouble with a capital L. I’m in for a long month with him around.

Crazy shit happens and then some. So, if you want the skinny on Vicious and the events revolving around my stay at Lunar Manor, read my story.

Again, refer to the warning above.

Author Bio:

When Kate Evangelista was told she had a knack for writing stories, she did the next best thing: entered medical school. After realizing she wasn't going to be the next Doogie Howser, M.D., Kate wandered into the Literature department of her university and never looked back. Today, she is in possession of a piece of paper that says to the world she owns a Literature degree. To make matters worse, she took Master's courses in creative writing. In the end, she realized to be a writer, none of what she had mattered. What really mattered? Writing. Plain and simple, honest to God, sitting in front of her computer, writing. Today, she lives in the Philippines and writes full-time.

Savor Exclusive Excerpt:

“Dakota Collins!”

I lowered my camera. The use of my full name never came with good consequences. I blinked my vision back at her even if I wanted to spend the rest of the night taking his picture. Sweat rose over my upper lip. I may just have found my subject for the Spring Showcase.

The only problem?
I had to find a way to convince him to be in my project. Something told me this wouldn’t be easy. By the way my heart beat in my ears, drowning out the music and Silvia having a fit in front of me, I wanted it too much. I wanted him too much.

“This the guy you were saying?” I showed Silvia the picture I’d taken. This seemed to pacify her because she sidled closer, mesmerized like a moth to a flame.

“Luka Visraya,” she said with a moan like she’d just tasted the most luscious chocolate before taking a long gulp of her cocktail. The name didn’t register. Silvia must have noticed my blank expression because she continued. “He’s the bassist for Vicious.”

Still no pings of recognition in my head.

She slapped her thigh. “Where have you been? It’s weird that you haven’t heard of them. Their songs are on the radio like every second.”
Of course I hadn’t heard of them. I liked listening to country and I hardly kept up with current events.
“Name one?”

Okay, I had a name. Luka. Exotic. A bassist. Part of a band I should know about. So he’s famous. I slowly felt my chances of asking him to be my subject slip from my grasp. If he was someone famous, fat chance he’d say yes to a graduating photography student like me. I just about deflated when Silvia mentioned one of their songs. “Oh, I know that one!” By accident. It played in the radio of the cab I rode in to Sacrifice. I stared at the picture of him then lifted my gaze to where he sat. “He’s gone.”

“What?” Silvia whipped around in time to come face to face with a wall of man. “Whoa!” She pushed at him. “Watch it, buddy!”

“Give me the camera,” he said in a threatening tone. Big. Beefy. Bald. The three Bs that made up the quintessential bodyguard.

I clutched my DSLR closer to my chest and looked up at him with my good eye.“And why would I do that?” The patch didn’t seem to intimidate him because he just reached out. So much for my Bond villain aspirations. I moved away from his grubby hand. No one touched my camera but me.

Despite her size, Silvia came between me and the mountain. “We’re here to cover Sacrifice for our college paper. You don’t have the right to take away my colleague’s camera.”

Yeah! You give it to him, Silvy.
Not that I couldn’t take care of myself. But if Silvia wanted to play hero, I wouldn’t stand in her way.

“What seems to be the problem here?” a soft, authoritative voice chimed in. The bodyguard moved aside to reveal the Gothic Lolita.
She stood at just about the same height as Silvia, but she possessed an older aura even if she seemed to be our age.

“She’s been taking pictures,” Baldy said. Lolita’s kohl eyes landed on me then shifted to my camera.

“As I was saying to the big guy,” Silvia explained. “My colleague and I are covering the opening of Sacrifice.”

“For what paper?” Lolita asked without taking her eyes off me. I clutched my camera like an extra appendage. In some ways it was. After losing half my sight, I relied on my camera like an extra eye, seeing the world through its lens. I would rather die than lose it.

“The Daily Gossip,” I said before Silvia could answer just to relieve some of the awkward tension building in me under her gaze.
“We study at Wexler U.”

She tilted her head, crossing her arms.

“Okay,” I quickly stammered out. “I get that the name of our paper sounds like a tabloid, but the Daily Gossip is a cool campus paper.” The last part maybe only I believed since Silvia raised her eyebrow at me, but Lolita and the mountain didn’t have to know that.

No one spoke after that. Even in a noisy club, the silence in our group rang in my ears. Not waiting for the situation to get any more awkward, I plowed forward with my own selfish intensions.

“You know Luka.” I said it more as a statement, but it came out like a question.

Lolita nodded.

“I’m Dakota Collins and I’m graduating this spring. I was wondering if Luka would be interested in—”

“What would I be interested in?” a smooth voice joined our group.

The walls of my throat closed, chocking the rest of what I had to say. All eyes turned to Luka. Silvia dropped her empty glass. It bounced off the bodyguard’s shoe and landed in a clatter but didn’t break. Even with my height, I still had to look up at him.

“What are you doing here?” Lolita admonished. “You should be backstage.”

One side of his lips came up. God. Without the scowl, his face lit up. I had to stop the urge to lift my camera and start snapping away. And his eyes were piercing blue. The kind that stretched over my mother’s farm in the summer. Damn. Seeing him up close, I knew I’d give any one of my kidneys for a chance to take his picture in a formal shoot.

“We have five minutes. Chill, Yana.” He tugged at one of her pigtails.

“Luka,” Silvia managed. “I’m a big fan. Will you sign my chest?”

Bypassing my petite colleague, Luka’s intensely blue gaze studied me. He reached out and I flinched back. His fingers almost grazed my patch. What the hell was the matter with him? Trying to touch my eye patch was tantamount to poking a bandage over a wound and asking the person if it hurts.

Gothic Lolita—Yana—yanked Luka’s arm down. “I’m so sorry!” Her whole aura changed. She went from all business to panicky. “My brother sometimes forgets his manners. He didn’t mean anything about touching your…” She bit her lower lip, maybe trying to keep herself from saying the wrong thing.

That little faux pas cleared my head of the Luka haze and spurred me into action. “Luka, will you let me take your picture for my final project?”

I didn’t know where my courage came from, but I knew if I didn’t take this chance, I’d regret it. I had to have him as my subject. Still not removing his gaze from my face, like my patch transfixed him, he tilted his head to one side very much like his sister did earlier.

“Luka, don’t!” Yana said, but from the consideration on Luka’s face, she was too late.

“You’re a photographer?”

“Yes.” I nodded, in case the word wasn’t enough.

“And you’d like me to be the subject of your project?”

God yes! This time, I could only nod. I didn’t want him to see how eager I was. And I couldn’t live with myself if I embarrassed myself further.

I waited with baited breath.

It seemed everyone in our group waited with baited breath for what the golden god had to say about my brazen request. I soon realized when Luka spoke, everyone listened. The way he pronounced every word precisely yet still spoke so smoothly, like butter on warm toast, captured everyone’s attention. To say he captivated us was an understatement. Something in me certainly wanted to hear him keep speaking. He could read from an accounting textbook in that voice and no one would get bored.

“I need to know that you’re good,” he finally said.

Something about his words seemed to hold a different meaning. I must have missed the alcohol in the soda Silvia had given me. Maybe I was drunk and this was all a blackout dream.

“What are you saying?” Yana faced Luka all the way now, her petite form all rigid.

He unleashed a full on megawatt smile my way. I almost had to cover my eye from it. At my side, Silvia gasped. Her long nails dug into my arm. Like staring at the sun, I couldn’t take my gaze away from him no matter how bad it was for me.

“We’re about to perform. I want you to take several pictures then send them to Yana. If she approves, we’ll see about your request.”

Then, like smoke, he disappeared into the crowd.

Lily sparkles at Dallas Metiers d'Art fashion show

They say things are always bigger in Dallas, and MORTAL INSTRUMENTS star Lily Collins made a big splash on Tuesday night at the Chanel Metiers d'Art fashion show.

According to the Daily Mail, Collins stunned in a sequined v-neck dress.

With her hair swept to one side behind her ear it also showed off the touch of some dazzling diamond earrings 24-year-old Lily had chosen to complement the outfit.
A deep red lipstick shade gave her an air of smoky sexiness, accentuating the brown tones in the shimmering short dress with a finely cut out silhouette around the shoulders scooping down in a neat V  shape. Black boots stretching all the way past her knees and up past her hemline gave the outfit a modern twist, yet still remaining true to the Chanel fashion ethos.

The actress daughter of Phil Collins was in the Texan state for the fashion show which Neiman Marcus fashion director Ken Downing has promised is 'going to be a big fashion moment here in Dallas'.
The inspiration for Chanel's Metiers d'Art traveling fashion show this year will come from Dallas, the Texas city where Coco Chanel was once given a warm welcome that included being picked up at the airport in a white Rolls-Royce and being feted at a Western-themed party complete with a catwalk featuring cows.
For more than a decade, designer Karl Lagerfeld has picked a city linked to the house for the theme of the show staged each December to highlight the work of its artisans.

On Tuesday it was the turn for Dallas, the city that fashion house founder Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel visited in 1957 at the invitation of Stanley Marcus, who led Neiman Marcus, the Dallas-based luxury retailer founded by his family.

The show, held at Dallas' Art Deco exhibition venue Fair Park, began with the premiere of a film written and directed by Lagerfeld titled, 'The Return,' retracing the steps of Coco Chanel as she reopened her Paris couture house in 1954 after shuttering it as Europe entered World War II.
Her return wasn't well-received by the French press, but was embraced by the Americans. Neiman Marcus was among those that lauded her return, with a special appreciation for the suits that her name is now synonymous with

Other cities that have served as inspiration for the Metiers d'Art show include Tokyo, New York, London, Shanghai and Edinburgh, Scotland. The collection, which will be in boutiques in May, highlights the work of the artisans who are part of a Chanel subsidiary company, including a costume jewelry and button maker, a feather and flower maker, a milliner, shoemaker, glovemaker and embroiderers.

Lily Collins shares her Top 5 songs of 2013

Nothing says girl power like The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones star Lily Collins. 2013 has been quite a spectacular year for our Clary Fray.

Just like the many fans she has inspired this year, Collins has her own playlist that has kept her jamming. She spoke with MTV  about it. From Ellie Goulding to Lorde, 2013 was all about girl power.

"I've been a huge Ellie fan for a while," Collins said. "Her voice is so distinctive and has this amazing mixture of being soothing and relaxing and yet energetic and strong."

Just like us, Collins fell in love with Lorde. "Lorde's voice translates as such an old soul and her lyrics are so true and honest. This beat mixed with her voice is golden."

Go to MTV to see the entire playlist.

New Bane Chronicles snippet features Elyaas the demon

Cassie Clare took to Tumblr to share a brand new snippet from The Bane Chronicles: What to Buy the Shadowhunter Who has Everything, which features a fun interaction with the blue tentacled demon Elyaas, who made an appearance in The Infernal Devices. Read ahead...

    Bane Chronicles snippet
“How have you been keeping? You know, since the last time you summoned me,” said Elyaas, the demon.“What?” Magnus asked.“You don’t remember me?” said the tentacle demon.“I summon a lot of demons,” Magnus said weakly. There was a long pause. Magnus stared into the bottom of his coffee cup and desperately willed more coffee to appear. This was something a lot of mundanes did too, but Magnus had one up on those suckers. His mug did slowly fill again, until it was brimming with rich dark liquid. He sipped and looked at Elyaas, who was shifting uncomfortably from tentacle to tentacle.“Well,” said Elyaas. “This is awkward.”“It’s nothing personal,” said Magnus.“Maybe if I jogged your memory,” Elyaas suggested helpfully. “You summoned me when you were searching for a demon who cursed a Shadowhunter? Bill Herondale?”“Will Herondale,” said Magnus.Elyaas snapped his tentacles as if they were fingers. “I knew it was something like that.”“You know,” Magnus said, enlightened, “I think I do remember. I’m sorry about that. I realized right away that you weren’t the demon I was looking for. You looked kind of blue in one of the drawings, but obviously you are not blue, and I was wasting your time. You were pretty understanding about it.”“Think nothing of it.” Elyaas waved a tentacle. “These things happen. And I can look blue. You know, in the right light.”“Lighting’s important, it’s true,” said Magnus.“So whatever happened with Bill Herondale and that curse a blue demon put on him?” The cecaelia demon’s interest seemed genuine.“Will Herondale,” Magnus said again. “It’s actually rather a long story.”“You know, sometimes we demons pretend we’re cursing people and we don’t really do it,” said Elyaas chattily. “Like, just for kicks? It’s kind of a thing with us. Did you know that?”“You could have mentioned it a century or two ago,” Magnus observed frostily.Elyaas shook his head, smiling a slime-bedecked smile. “The old pretend-to-curse. It’s a classic. Very funny.” He appeared to notice Magnus’s unimpressed expression for the first time. “Not from your perspective, of course.”“It wasn’t funny for Bill Herondale!” said Magnus. “Oh, damn it. Now you’ve got me doing it.”— from What to Buy the Shadowhunter Who Has Everything*We just got news on an awesome audio narrator for this one - I think you guys will be pleased!

What do you think about this fun snippet? Are you excited about the newest Bane Chronicles from Cassie and Sarah Rees Brennan? Share your thoughts below.

"Back to the drawing board," say EP Moszkowicz on 'City of Ashes' project

Variety reports no director connected to TMI sequel at this time

TMI Director Harald Zwart at the Toronto premiere
Yesterday, Shadowhunters worldwide breathed a collective sigh of relief when The Hollywood Reporter shared news from Martin Moszkowicz, executive producer of The Mortal Instruments, that the sequel, City of Ashes, would start filming in 2014. Now, Variety has an exclusive of their own.

At this time, executives at Constantin are working to fix all the mistakes they felt were made in the first film. City of Ashes production came to a screeching halt amid tepid ticket sales, causing Hollywood insiders and fans alike to wonder if the follow up film would even be made. The first real surprise in this new article is that Harald Zwart is not connected to the sequel at the moment, but they are in talks with him.

”We are talking to him and others. At the moment there is no director attached,” Moszkowicz said. ”It also depends on his professional availability of course.”

Even though there may be many changes coming, the one fact holds true. Moszkowicz believes in the work of TMI author, Cassandra Clare. “We believe strongly in her and the world that she has brought to the readers, but we feel that the movie obviously under-performed. Something was wrong there, and we are trying to make it right the next time,” Moszkowicz said.

Changes to the marketing strategy are in the cards, including the target demo. “Maybe we have targeted too young an audience,” he said. “They are very outspoken, especially in the social media world; they are extremely active. But the readers of the books are from 14 to 34 — that’s the main age group — and maybe some of them had issues with how it was marketed. We need to go behind that, and find out exactly what it was.

“It is an ongoing discussion that we are having, and it is not done. We haven’t made a final decision. But we will only move forward — and we plan to move forward — when we feel we are going to get it right,” Moszkowicz said.

Although the intention is to shoot the film sometime next year, it is not carved in stone.

“That is the plan, but it is not a given,” Moszkowicz said. “We believe in that franchise, and we would like to do that, but we need to get it right.”

What do you think of this latest revelation? Would you like to see Harald Zwart return as director or do you have someone else in mind to take the project? Share your thoughts below.

MOVIE NEWS: Production for CITY OF ASHES starts in 2014

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Bower Sword - H 2013
BIG NEWS, SHADOWHUNTERS!!! Constantin is moving forward with Cassandra Clare’s best-selling Mortal Instruments franchise and plans to restart production on the second film in the series, The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes, next year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Martin Moszkowicz, Constantin Film’s head of film and TV, said Clare’s massive fan base has responded positively to the adaptation and that Constantin is determined to continue the franchise.  City of Bones, starring Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower, opened to $14 million over its first five-day weekend and grossed about $31 million domestically for Sony/Screen Gems.City of Bones, which was also critically panned, had a reported $60 million budget, with Sony putting up an estimated $60 million more to promote the film's release.
"The fan response, from the blogosphere and the thousands of mails we have received, has encouraged us to keep going,” Moszkowicz told The Hollywood Reporter. “It's been overwhelmingly positive, in contrast to some other YA titles.”
Moszkowicz said international returns for City of Bones means the first film’s worldwide take is now close to $100 million but admits box office revenue was below Constantin’s forecasts.
“We are analyzing what we did wrong with the first film, particularly with the positioning and marketing, and what changes we have to make. We are working with a great group of people to reposition the franchise (for City of Ashes).”
According to The Hollywood ReporterMoszkowicz suggested one reason for City of Bones’ misfire may have been a marketing campaign that was too narrowly focused on teenage fans, to the detriment of Clare’s twenty- and thirtysomething readers. (INSTITUTE SAYS .... AMEN TO THAT!)
“The readers of Mortal Instruments are older than you might think,” he said. “That may have been one issue in our marketing, that we focused too much on a very young audience segment."

Let's celebrate! Jamie Campbell Bower BACK on Twitter

Guess who's back, back again, Jamie's back, tell a friend!!!

This is why we love Jamie Campbell Bower. If you've missed out on the whirlwind of the last nearly 24 hours, you probably won't notice much different. However, last night, Jamie left his Twitter account, breaking the hearts of all those fans and friends he left behind.

Now, I'm pleased to say that he is back. Here's what he had to say on Tumblr:

MORALISTIC REVERSAL Good evening all you lovely people.
I do hope this “hump day” is treating you well. I have heard through a blood relative of mine that it is Potato Week in Denmark.
Here it is. I’m coming back to twitter. I have received an overwhelming amount of support and heard stories of how you, like myself as a kid, need someone to stand up and speak the weirdness it is that you feel.
I have made the conscious decision to reactivate my account. There are too many people to let down if i stay away.
I feel somewhat responsible for you all.
This however does not take away from the fact that a select group of individuals really fucked me off and betrayed my hard earned trust. Believe me when i say this.
I love the true people that make my world better (through social media) and i wish i could reply to any of you but the fact of matter is, if i respond to 1 person i’m only going to piss off the numerous others that i cant get back to.
I love all you true Muddafuckahhhhhhhhhssssssss. and to those who bent me over and fucked me without any lube in the words of Asher Roth “sucka dick butt kiss”
    princess Jamie.

Thanks so much to our favorite Tweep, Jamie Campbell Bower, for coming back to Twitter and rocking our worlds! We love ya, Jamie!!! :)

    Jamie Campbell Bower leaves twitter

I'm regretfully having to share some bad news this morning. Jamie Campbell Bower has left his Twitter account @jamiebower after a group attempted to hack it.
Jamie, who is known best to us a Jace Wayland in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones shared his thoughts on his Tumblr account.

    “Twitter go Bye Bye
    Good morrow fair children
i trust we all slept well?
Last night there was a group of people, who called themselves “fans”, attempting to “hack” my twitter account. This has lead me to dispose of said account.
I understand that these particular individuals are not a reflection on all of you gorgeous people but it only takes a minority to fuck shit up and ruin it for everybody.
I loved twitter and it was with a heavy heart that i had to make such a drastic decision but heres the kicker, i as a person have no obligation to share my life with the outside world but i wanted everyone who has supported me to feel somewhat involved, invited or part of my bizarre existence. I have said in interviews that i always felt “outside” or perhaps a “spaceman” and twitter offered me the possibility to feel connected to others, who perhaps, feel the same way, because i had no one to connect with as a kid or a tangible figurehead that felt the same as i did.
I am sorry for those who feel let down by me. I feel let down
I love you. But i dont need more self righteous Daily Mail cunts in my life.
    Kisses.
    x “
As someone who has followed his tweets for a long time and been very blessed to get a chance to meet and interview him twice now, it is such a shame that some stupid group of “fans” had to ruin it for such a sweet guy. The thing that everyone should remember is that he is a person and has real feelings, not just some random twitter handle with no face or name. And being someone in the spotlight, I couldn’t even imagine how horrible it would be if people hacked my twitter and used it for personal gain. If Jamie feels about Twitter like most of us do, Twitter is a sanctuary for people who just want to reach out to the world and share experience and get interaction and love. I’ll miss Jamie’s tweets immensely and hope that one day he’ll feel safe enough to rejoin.

Cassie Clare talks about the relationship between Sebastian and Clary

Cassie Clare shared some explanation about the relationship of our fave villian Sebastian Verlac aka Jonathan Morgenstern. Don't read on if you haven't read City of Lost Souls.
    of Sebastian and Clary
Hi Cassie, first I love your books and I can’t wait for CoHF to come out, even though I’m kind of scare that it might break my heart, anyways, I don’t know if you’ve already answered this question ( sorry if you have) but can you please help me to better understand Jonathan/Sebastian’s feelings or non feelings or whatever his deal is towards Clary? Or is it going to be better explained in CoHF? Thanks! — racheltavarez18
Jonathan/Sebastian’s relationship with and feelings toward Clary are complicated. Part of the reason they are not just explicit on the page “Jonathan looked at Clary, and realized that he loved her as a sister/hated her as an enemy/loved her the way you love a pet frog and did not have any other feelings or any conflicting emotions as regarded her” is because Sebastian is himself working through what he feels about Clary. (Also because no one actually thinks that way.)
Ideally, all characters have complicated emotions about other characters. Alec loves Jace like a brother, but he did once have a crush on him, and he also is sometimes jealous of him for getting all the attention, and he feels protective of him but also is driven to distraction by his self-destructiveness and recklessness. Even positive emotions are complicated.
Sebastian is a character who has a very uneasy relationship with emotions at all. He was probably attached to Valentine. He got very upset at the idea that Valentine might have cared about Jace. He doesn’t really think of himself as someone who can love but he gets annoyed when people don’t love him. He actually goes on at great length in City of Lost Souls to Clary about what he thinks he feels about her (“You know, when I first met you, in Idris, I had hopes—I had thought you would be like me. And when you were nothing like me, I hated you. And then, when I was brought back, and Jace told me what you did, I realized that I had been wrong. You are like me” — etc. pg 361) , and then she explains to Jace in the end what she thinks Sebastian feels about her. (“Loneliness drove him as much as a desire for power—loneliness and a need to be loved without any corresponding understanding that love was something you earned. “)
Now you don’t necessarily have to believe Sebastian when he talks about his feelings, and you could think Clary is wrong. Or I guess you could be looking for something really explicit and categorizable — “He loved her as a frequent traveler loved a rolling suitcase” — but sometimes the thing is that the characters don’t necessarily understand or want to comprehend their own emotions explicitly because they are in the process of coming to understand them. Think of Harry and Snape — how Snape actually felt about Harry was somewhat baffling right up to the end of the Harry Potter series because the development of Snape’s relationship towards our protagonist is, in fact, his character arc. You cannot just be told it up front. That would wreck the story.
So I guess the answer is that you really need to read to the end of the series to get the clear picture of how Sebastian feels about Clary because again, how this particular character feels about the protagonist is his character arc. I don’t think my explaining it would be a good idea further than it has already been explained in the books — I wouldn’t have been all that happy with someone who had handed me a card that said SNAPE HAS COMPLICATED FEELINGS ABOUT HARRY BECAUSE HE WAS IN LOVE WITH HIS DEAD MOM before Deathly Hallows came out. (Though, admittedly, I had guessed. But I still prefer the journey on the page, and therefore I inflict it on you!)

Cassie Clare shares 'Magisterium' character description

It's a year away before The Iron Trial by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare comes out, but Cassie took to Tumblr to share some fan art by Cassandra Jean to talk about one of the characters, Callum Hunt.

Tell us description of characters Magisterium to do fan art? I know that Call has an injured leg, Tamara has black hair, but you can go into details?— helenaandsherry
I guess I can start with Call? I feel odd going into detail without Holly! Call is average height for his age, but one of his legs is shorter than the other. He has had surgeries on it to correct it since he was a child but none of them worked. He leg hurts often; it’s not why he’s a cranky boy, but he is one. He has dark hair and gray eyes. He hates people commenting on his limp, he rides a skateboard sometimes, he once kidnapped a naked mole rat. Here’s Cassandra JP’s interpretation of him: I did realize recently that it’s fall 2013 which means The Iron Trial comes out in one year. Eeek!
